about julie

Julie is an experienced corporate lawyer and leads Kindrik Partners’ Auckland office.  She has worked at a large international law firm in London on cross-border m&a for 13 years and, prior to that, at a top tier NZ national law firm.

Julie works on capital raisings, m&a transactions, and governance issues (including shareholder agreements and share option schemes).  She takes a common-sense approach to achieve positive outcomes and maximise efficiency.  Julie acts on transactions with both NZ and international parties providing high quality advice and documentation, and working closely with her clients to ensure a smooth transaction process.

Her recent work includes:

• acting for a leading NZ tech company on its acquisition of an innovative software company and development team in South Africa, including working closely with overseas lawyers and advisers
• advising NZ companies on investment by overseas corporates, including preparing and negotiating all relevant documents, from term sheet, investment agreement and governance documents, to completion approvals
• advising NZ startups on establishing and operating share option schemes
